ELBACERT^® activities are governed in a non-discriminatory manner. The ELBACERT^® Certification Body is independent of other companies and any other pressures that could influence the results of the certification process. The certification body shall be fully responsible for decisions relating to certification, including the granting, maintenance, renewal, extension, limitation, suspension and revocation of certification.

The ELBACERT^® Certification Body declares that it is impartial in carrying out the activities related to the certification of the management system, manages conflicts of interest and ensures the objectivity of the activities related to the certification of the management system.

Prior to entering into a contract with an audit client, the Certification Body will identify, analyse and, if any arise, document the potential for conflicts of interest raised by the provision of certification, including any conflicts raised by its relationships.

Should any relationship raise impartiality concerns, the certifying body shall document the relationship and demonstrate how it will eliminate or minimize those concerns.
